The Spring Grove Area Scholarship Fund is proud to announce the creation of the Carrie Schmoyer Memorial Scholarship Fund in honor of the life and legacy of Carrie Schmoyer, a beloved counselor, mentor, and friend to so many. Carrie Schmoyer dedicated her career to inspiring students and fostering a positive and supportive place for students to thrive. She could make anyone laugh and make everyone feel loved. Her unwavering commitment to her students and her compassionate spirit left an indelible mark on the Spring Grove community. Her influence extended far beyond the walls of the school, supporting the lives of countless students, colleagues, and families. In recognition of her incredible contributions, the Carrie Schmoyer Memorial Scholarship will be awarded annually to a Spring Grove Area School District senior who embodies the qualities Carrie cherished: a passion for people, a heart for service, and a
commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
The scholarship is intended to provide financial assistance to a student pursuing a degree in counseling, social work, psychology or related field. Donations to the Carrie Schmoyer Memorial Scholarship Fund are being accepted now. Contributions can be made by mailing a check, made out to SGASF (Spring Grove Area
Scholarship Fund). Please write ‘Schmoyer Scholarship Fund’ in the memo.
