What We Aim For

The mission of our organization is to build foundations for our future, one student and one scholarship at a time.

The Spring Grove Area Scholarship Fund was started in 1994 with the purpose of providing scholarships to students in the Spring Grove area. To date, we have provided over $3 million in funding to Spring Grove graduates.

Who is eligible to receive Scholarships?

Students residing in the Spring Grove Area School District and enrolled in district funded educational programs are eligible to apply for scholarships through SGASF in January of their senior year. All applications are reviewed for eligibility for over 80 scholarships.

Scholarships are available for both secondary education and trade schools!

How are recipients selected?

An independent review board scores anonymous applications based on achievements in academics and athletics, community involvement and work history. Members of the scoring committee are required to sign conflict of interest policies and work closely to match scholarship guidelines to the best candidate. Factors such as financial need, anticipated major, personal stories as requested in essays, etc. are considered when required by scholarship criteria.
